We caught up with #EmpoweredMoments leading ladies Revee and Katie on set at Edith Wolfsan Square, Tel Aviv to talk sweat, moments and style!
Revee’s an 800m athlete who has represented GB and Katie’s a freerunner and Ninja Warrior UK finalist so they know a thing or two about how to move!
- What was your favourite moment on the shoot?
Revee: My favourite moment on the shoot was running around the square being followed by a massive drone! The park had such an amazing view of the city, it was beautiful.
Katie: My favourite moment on the shoot was working with Netti to come up with a way that we could be interacting in a photo. It was pretty challenging but that made it all the more fun! Oh and watching the sun set on the final shoot day with all of the crew was also pretty awesome!
- What was your favourite ESC item?
Revee: My favourite item was the Focus Full Zip Long Sleeve Top in coral. Amazing fit, very comfortable and my favourite colour!
Katie: I loved the super high-waisted Timeless Stirrup Legging and also the black Laser Jacket. In general, I loved how comfortable all of the clothing was.
- How do you make your moments count?
Revee: I like to be organised so to make the most of my time I do a lot of planning and preparation – life is busy and I don’t want to miss any opportunities!
Katie: Sometimes I find that I'm so busy with training/work/travel that I'm not fully living in the present. There have been times when I've been shooting in some absolutely incredible locations around the world, but my mind is completely in overdrive and I'm already thinking about the next thing I need to be doing. I have to remind myself every once in a while to stop, breathe and appreciate what I'm experiencing in that moment. That way I can fully make every moment count!
- What does empowerment mean to you?
Revee: Developing my strength and confidence giving me the ability to chase and achieve my goals.
Katie: To me, empowerment means being able to take control over my own life; being able to decide what I want to do and how I want to do it.
- If you could give one piece of advice what would it be?
Revee: Surround yourself with positive people, simple!
Katie: Say yes to adventures! Sometimes we can be scared to say yes to exciting opportunities because they feel a little bit out of our comfort zone. If we’re willing to leave our comfort zone from time to time we open ourselves up to new adventures and we will never be left wondering "what if?".
- What’s been the stand out moment in your life so far?
Revee: When my first (running) competition was aired live on TV – that was definitely a ‘pinch me’ kind of moment.
Katie: Last summer I was given the opportunity to tour around the UK to different abandoned locations with a group of action sports athletes to shoot a mini documentary series. We all had the most incredible three weeks exploring some crazy places and training with each other - an experience I will never forget. Watching the first episode air at the series premiere was definitely a stand out moment in my life.
