My Fitness Journey: I was a dancer so I’ve always been quite fit. From about the age of 16 I became interested in my weight rather than about healthy living. I wasn’t knowledgeable and as a dancer I went through a time in my life where I was very underweight, undernourished and unhappy. It wasn’t an overnight job but I educated myself gradually and found a passion for healthy living and being “fit not thin”, I haven’t looked back.

What Gets You Motivated to Work Out: Just the great feeling you have during and after a workout is enough to motivate me. I’m always more energised, clearer and happier after a workout.

3 Top Tips for staying healthy in 2015: 

1. Listen to your body, what works for one person might not work for you so find out what makes you feel fabulous.

2. Have fun with working out – go to classes with friends and try new things.

3. Eat more greens!

This Week I Can’t Live Without: Raw Cacao – I’m a chocoholic and raw cacao means I can have hot chocolate and healthy choccie desserts without the bad sugars and fats. It’s such an incredible superfood and so high in antioxidants. It’s also considered the best food for longevity!

Most Important Thing I’ve Learnt Along The Way: Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Keep going on your own unique journey a step at a time.

How I Make Every Second Count: Everyday is so different for me which I love as I get bored with routine but I will typically wake up at 7am, quite energised and make a yummy healthy breakfast then head out to teach my first Pilates classes of the day or do my own fitness/yoga class. I’ll either be teaching all day or I might meet up with healthy friends/bloggers for a juice and a catch up. I’m updating my blog and replying to emails throughout the day and will also find some time to fit in studying(I am studying holistic health with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition). I’ll head home and cook dinner/prepare lunch and snacks for the next day and then take some time to relax in the evening with my boyfriend by watching a film or some reality TV, our guilty pleasure!
