This is definitely one to take you back to your childhood! Hula hooping is the latest fitness craze to hit the UK and after recently giving a hoop fitness class a whirl – TeamESC are converts!
Working out with a hula hoop works all of your core muscles (hello abs!) and raises your heart rate for an effective cardio workout that burns calories whilst you tone. You’re sure to have a giggle whilst doing this type of workout; however you’ll also find the repetitive spinning motion of the hoop soothing – a great way to wind down after a busy day!
If you want to give hoop fitness a spin, there are some really good classes out there, or you could try it at home. Don’t try to use your child’s hula hoop though – you need an adult sized one that is as high as your chest when rested on its side for an effective workout.
