Quinoa features in many a #TeamESC meal because it’s a great source of plant-based protein. It’s a tasty wheat-free alternative to cous cous and rice and, you may be surprised to know, comes from the same family as beets and spinach!
These tiny grains are a good source of calcium, magnesium, manganese, B vitamins, vitamin E, iron and dietary fibre. In fact, quinoa contains more vitamins and nutrients than any other grain.
We love serving up quinoa as a side with salmon and veggies, or tossing with chicken and avocado for a tasty lunch.
